AiSDR Product Spotlight #53: Background search & “Not interested” filter
In sales, momentum matters.
A closed tab shouldn’t stall your prospecting search. A soft rejection shouldn’t stall a future opportunity. Progress should keep moving forward.
So we make sure it does. Here’s what’s new in AiSDR.
🔍 Background search

Picture this: You kick off a prospecting search in AiSDR. While it runs, you want to jump on a call or review another campaign. But closing the tab means losing everything and starting over.
Not anymore.
What changed
Lead search now runs in the background. So now you’re free to close your laptop, switch devices, jump on calls, you name it.
And when you return to this campaign, your leads will be enriched.
Speed advantage
Now your team can prospect more leads without slowing down other work.
Say it’s 4:45 PM on a Friday. You launch a search for 300 leads.
The old approach would have you wait 15 minutes or abandon it until Monday.
With the new approach, you start the search, close your laptop, and leave. Come Monday morning, 300 enriched leads are waiting (if your search criteria nailed it).
🔄 “Not interested” vs “Never contact”

Here’s a typical scenario: A lead replies “we’re happy with our current tool.” Six months later, their contract ends and they’re evaluating alternatives. But you’ve lost track of them because that soft “no” got treated like a permanent opt-out.
Opportunity lost. Momentum killed.
Rejections aren’t all the same. Someone who says “unsubscribe me immediately” is most likely not in your ICP. Then again, someone who says “not the right time” might actually be ready in three months.
Until now, AiSDR treated both the same way. Both got suppressed. Both disappeared. It had its benefits, but also its drawbacks.
That changes today.
The new filter
AI now classifies responses into two types:
⏹️ Never Contact (hard opt-outs like “unsubscribe me” or “take me off your list”)
⏸️ Not Interested (soft rejections like “we use another tool” or “now isn’t the right time”)
Hard opt-outs stay suppressed permanently. Soft rejections remain available for future campaigns. Problem solved.
What this means for you
When timing shifts, you can pick up where you left off instead of starting over.
A lead replies: “We just signed a contract with a competitor, but thanks for reaching out.”
In the past, that lead would have been automatically classified as “never contact”, a.k.a. permanently suppressed.
But from now on, AiSDR will flag such responses as “Not Interested”, rather than remove them completely from your list. That way, the lead is back in play if you launch a closed-lost reactivation campaign six months later and highlight a new feature.
